Dr. K. Rajendran M.S., FICS., FAIS., a distinguished surgeon, philanthropist and educationist known for his outstanding contributions in medical and educational fields.  He is the founder of Sri Krishnasamy Reddiyar Educational Trust and Sri Subbulakshmi Krishnasamy Reddiyar Educational Trust which are dedicated to empower students from rural backgrounds and economically weaker section of the society.

In the field of medicine, Dr. K. Rajendran (popularly known as Dr. K.R), has made significant contributions, like organizing free medical camps, providing essential healthcare support and resources  to  Government of Tamil Nadu by extension of Hostel & College premises as an isolation ward, vaccination centers etc.. during COVID’19. He extends his services to the mankind through KR Surgical Clinic, continues to provide high quality health care to the local community over a half century. He remains deeply committed in serving the people of Cuddalore and surrounding districts, ensuring access to quality medical care for the economically downtrodden community.  His exemplary work to the health care have been acknowledged and honoured several times through Indian Medical Association and other eminent bodies.

A true visionary, Dr. K. Rajendran has earned numerous accolades from esteemed personalities and organizations, in recognition of his dedication to social causes, especially rural empowerment through education. Among the many prestigious honours, the Best Educationist Awards he received from Bala bhavan educational trust and Appar Illam Trust are notable.
